Hometown Retirement Party

Dennis hosted a retirement party at his sister Wendy's house last weekend. Because of his father's illness this summer most of his immediate family members were unable to make the trip to Groton for the official ceremony. We decided then that we would have to host a party for everyone, giving them all a chance to celebrate with Dennis. Friends from his childhood church, neighbors, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc. all came to enjoy catered Southern BBQ and fellowship. It was so nice to see everyone and they enjoyed the food and the opportunity to share in such a happy occasion.

The kids always enjoy each others company. Will and Riley got along pretty well considering they are both little imps. Nick and LT hung out on the swingset. Wendy and Nathan recently put in a swimming pool. It was amazing how warm it's been for October. It gave the kids a chance to jump in (in their shorts) and christen the pool.
